Screen Paver is an easy to use photo slide show screen saver. The program will display an unlimited number of your own jpeg, png, or bmp pictures from local and/or network directories. Features include picture stretching, shrinking, tiling, transition effects, picture sets, picture preview, wallpaper creation, favorite picture saving, long filename captions, pause/continue control, multiple monitors, and music. Great for digital camera users.
Version 4.4b is a bug fixing release.
Despite the omission of an important feature, this intuitive program makes it a snap to design screensavers from your own photos and music. Screen Paver is accessible only via the Control panel's Display icon rather than from the Programs menu or a desktop shortcut, an arrangement that may take some folks a bit of time to get used to. The tabbed interface isn't beautiful but does make it readily apparent how to operate the program. After picking the JPEG, PNG, and BMP files you want to include, you can specify duration and order, then choose from an impressive number of transition effects. Screen Paver also lets you add captions and the music of your choice. However, this program can't generate an SRV or EXE file to make your new screensaver a launchable application, a serious drawback that many competing products address. Therefore, folks who aim to make and distribute professional-quality screensavers will need to look elsewhere, though home and casual users will do just fine with this app.
