  "POP Peeper" introduction:

POP Peeper is an e-mail notifier that supports POP3, IMAP with Idle (AOL, AIM, FastMail), SMTP, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, GMail, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Juno, NetZero, and iWon. Other features include portability, password protection, an address book, viewing in HTML (or rich/plain text for security), open/send attachments, separate polling intervals for each account. Many options are available to indicate new mail has arrived such as sound alerts (configurable for each account), flashing scroll lock, trayicon balloon, skinnable pop-up notifier, and a customized screensaver.

An SSL plug-in is available for download which allows you to retrieve e-mail from POP3 and IMAP servers that accept secure connections such as Gmail. With IMAP's Idle command, you will be notified of new e-mail as soon as it arrives in your inbox.

Version 3.4 adds support for importing from Windows LiveMail client, new notification using the trayicon balloontip, global hotkeys, and MP3 playback.

"I discovered this and it works very well."

I lioke the way it opens and displays messages as well as pictures.

I wouild like to see it report only on the last 10 new messages except the whole list.
Or maybe prompt it to see more than the last ten.

Summary: I would recommend it to anyone.

"Outstanding!"

Everything, I love this program.

I cant get images to show up in my DL emails at times.

Summary: This is the best program out there at doing what it does.

"its the best"

tired of constantly checking your email or having toolbars slowing up your browser well get pop peeper!

i couldn't set up different users

"Best free email software I've tried."

Works with my Hotmail, googlemail, yahoo and even my University email accounts. Emails deleted in pop peeper are also deleted from your original email accounts. It does everything that I would want it to do.

It could do with a few more instructions but it isn't a big issue as there is a forum that has all the answers. I had a problem setting up hotmail initially but found out that its best to select the pop3 option instead of livemail.

Summary: I had a problem setting up my University email accounts in pop peeper at first but then I realised that I had to first log into my university accounts and activate either IMAP or POP3 in them. IMAP is better than Pop3. One other problem I had was th...

"easy and fast"
