This screensaver of 80 pictures of various places in New York City includes the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center, Central Park, Battery Park, the Empire State Building, Harlem, and Times Square.
Although its image quality is sometimes questionable, this screensaver brings the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple to your desktop for free. From Central Park to the Statue of Liberty to Times Square, New York City Screen Saver offers a large image library of the town's most famous landmarks. The shots looked just fine when viewed at their original sizes, but we'd caution against setting the screensaver to full-screen mode, as this causes a fair amount of pixelation and general degradation in quality. You won't find an option for adding your own music as a soundtrack, but you can set the delay between pictures, apply a number of transition effects, and reposition the informative captions. Even better, the program costs nothing, so we easily can recommend it to anyone who has ever been enchanted by the allure of New York City.
