A realistic LCD monitor is hovering in front of your desktop and running a variant of Matrix Screensaver in the style of Kryptile Screensavers. Matrix glyphs include reversed letters, numbers, and Japanese katakana characters. The Matrix code flows down the screen leaving a greenish trace, just as in the movie. Download and watch it yourself.
Since the release of The Matrix movie, screensavers inspired by its visual effects have multiplied faster than Agent Smith in his fight against Keanu Reeves. This version impressed us more than most, however. It is a tiny program, taking up just 100 KB, and shows more than just the usual Matrix green glyphs running down the computer screen. Instead, a realistic 3D LCD monitor hovers over the desktop, displaying the cryptic flow of digits. This simplicity translates into a lack of options--there is no soundtrack here, and no features to configure. However, if you like the Matrix aesthetic, and are looking for something compact, this might be the download for you.
